Matt Gaetz and Joe Gruters Push for LGTBQ Agenda Despite Backlash

BREAKING UPDATE: John Stemberg of the Florida Family Policy Council has asked Joe Gruters to resign as Chair of the Florida GOP. Click here to read the full press release.

Florida Republican state Senator and Republican Party of Florida Chair Joe Gruters has unveiled new legislation called the Florida Inclusive Workforce Act or SB 438. At first glance, based on the title, this could really mean almost anything. But when you dig a little deeper you find this isn’t exactly a very Conservative move for “Trump supporting” Joe.

This legislation was actually revealed just one day after the Democrats unveiled similar legislation, The Florida Competitive Workforce Act. At the core of what’s going on though is the disturbing set of details. What’s at stake is not really the rights of the LBGT community, but the rights of others that this bill infringes upon.

For example, it sounds great on paper to ensure no human beings get discriminated against. But in a society that believes in freedom of religion and choice, this bill could create certain dangerous scenarios and set even more dangerous precedents. For example, if a Christian daycare doesn’t want to hire a transgender person to be in charge of children, but is forced to do so by the government, the rights of that organization and the people who participate within have been violated. Those people would, in theory, be running a private organization and under freedom of religion have every right to hire people who have values that align with theirs.

Why then, in the name of political correctness, would a conservative who claims to support traditional values unload a piece of garbage legislation like this on to his voter base? Who is he trying to pander to?

Perhaps he is chasing the people targeted with the similar Democrat bill, The Florida Competitive Workforce Act? This may garner him a few supporters from the middle or just left of center but how many in his core base including die-hard Trump supporters will be irate at this weak act of “FOMO” (fear of missing out)? This is the same Joe Gruters who worked to help get President Trump elected. Trump did campaign on being more inclusive to the LGBT community within the Republican party but he never championed any nonsense that would infringe on people’s religious rights.

Another example of a ridiculous scenario that could play out if this bill passes would be transgender “women” who used to be men, competing with women in women’s sports. Not only is this un-American, but this is also unfair, and borderlines on dangerous. Even twenty years ago in The United States, things like this would be unheard of. Unfortunately today, we have grown weary but used to, the far left pushing things like this down our throats. But a conservative Republican in a red state who chairs the GOP in Florida? Unacceptable by every possible measure. People need to send a message to Joe that women and children should be kept safe from ridiculous banana republic legislation like this and that his political future will depend on him realizing, and fast, that he has made a MAJOR mistake.

John Stemberger of the Florida Family Policy Council is CLEARLY not happy with Joe, or Matt Gaetz, Florida’s US House Representative for the first congressional district. His strong disagreement can be seen below in the TWEETSTORM below between he and Matt Gaetz from less than 24 hours ago.
