Trump Arrives in Texas at Border Amidst Shutdown Showdown

President Trump arrived just a couple of hours ago in McAllen Texas to meet with Border Patrol agents at the Southern US Mexico border. The trip is ahead of a possible plan to declare a national emergency if the Congressional Democrats don’t agree to allocate the funds requested for a wall or barrier. He tweeted this a couple hours ago:

The latest as shown in the video below is the President speaking at a roundtable meeting highlighting all the different reason why border security, including a southern border wall, is so important. Some of those reasons include dangerous and illegal drugs, terrorists, gang members, and sex/human trafficking.

President Trump stated earlier today that if the Democrats don’t offer a deal for the border wall funding he would be very surprised if he doesn’t declare a national emergency. Another tweet from yesterday that was highlighted by us earlier continues to be a beacon that the President means business and is simply giving Congress every chance possible to do the right thing.

I don’t think there has been another time in recent US history when a political side has been so vehemently against something that has been proven by so many people to be at the forefront of US national security. It goes to show how bitterly partisan the left has become. While both sides of the political aisle have their flaws, the bitterness showed here by the left, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer is certainly disheartening. The information wars, or in many case misinformation wars being fought highlight how scary the political times we are in have become.

I think we can all agree that we need a solution soon to this border crisis, the government shutdown and partisan fighting. The question is what will we do when and if those solutions don’t come? Worst case scenarios are starting to sound more like reality and less like fan fiction in the days we live in. Focus on family first, and stay tuned, we are in for a rocky ride!
