Trump Tweet Shows He’s Ready for Top Gear

President Trump sent out a Tweet a couple of hours ago after another unfruitful meeting with Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats.

Yesterday was a major day for President Trump, Congress, and the country in general. We are in the midst of a partial Federal Government shutdown that has been going on for almost 19 days and counting. Many are starting to feel the pain of this shut down that could end up going on for some time.

Earlier today Politics Elections put out a comprehensive story about the moving parts causing this shutdown. President Trump is asking Congress for 5.7 billion dollars to build a wall or steel barrier at the southern border between the US and Mexico. Unfortunately, Democrat Congressional leaders are refusing to budge with any compromise whatsoever.

The Tweet put out highlights that there is a likely scenario that the Democrats have no plans to make any concession, despite the fact that President Trump has the authority to declare a National Emergency and re allocate funds to get the wall build without Congressional approval, although that’s probably his last resort. I think that last resort might just be getting closer to a reality though, as there don’t seem to be too many options left, and nobody, including the President, wants to see Federal workers and businesses suffer from this shutdown.

For President Trump’s base, it’s very important he stands firm on this issue though, or use his last resort, as he is at risk of losing support in the 2020 re-election bid if he does not keep his promises to secure the border.

Shown below is an image that many are saying will influence the beginning of the next Saturday Night Live episode. Last night when the image below surfaced from the “rebuttal” given by the Democrats after President Trump addressed the nation a tidal wave of memes surfaced on the internet.

But the stark reality is that it shows two bitterly partisan, bought and paid for political hacks who are hurting our country in a big way but not working to secure the border.
