Rumors True: Shak Hill Will Primary Barbara Comstock

As anticipation surrounding mid-term elections in 2018 grows, sources are claiming Virginia Republican Shak Hill will run against Congresswoman Barbara Comstock for the Republican nomination in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District. Hill, a graduate of the Air Force Academy who flew combat missions during Operation Desert Storm, narrowly missed the Republican nomination for United States Senate in 2014, losing to Ed Gillespie under a convention style nomination process.

A committed conservative, Shak Hill stands firm on his pro-life beliefs, citing his own personal experiences as evidence of the miracle of life. Hill sits on a principled conservative platform, opposing tax hikes, advocating the repeal of Obamacare, and pledging his refusal to grovel to the demands of the Democratic Party. On the heels of a Corey Stewart victory in the 10th District over Ed Gillespie in the 2017 Gubernatorial Primary, many believe Hill will handily defeat Comstock, as the district demands conservative representation. When reached for comment, Hill stated: “The citizens of Northern Virginia need someone who is going to represent them, and not the elites in Washington. I haven’t announced anything, but you should hear something from our campaign soon.”

Recently, Congresswoman Comstock has attracted attention by falling into step with members of the Democratic Party, voting against Obamacare repeal, and joining 24 other Republicans, and the Democrats, by voting against the Hartzler Amendment, which would have banned transgender individuals from serving the in the armed forces. It is this chronic abandonment of basic conservative principles that has put Comstock at risk for a devastating loss in 2018. Conservatives nationwide are demanding proper representation in Washington, not representatives who campaign on a conservative agenda, only to be sucked into the swamp.
