After Recent Meeting With The Mooch, Nikki Haley Promotes Herself With Dan Crenshaw

Squishy Republicans seem to attract each other like magnets these days. No exception is former U.N. Ambassador and foreign policy hawk Nimrata “Nikki” Haley and pro ‘Red Flag’ gun law Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R). A couple of days ago Haley posted a video on Twitter of herself chumming it up with second amendment weak Crenshaw. The video was captioned “Fun event with @DanCrenshawTX in Houston and 1800 of our special friends!” In the clip, Haley talks about how great it is to see young people want to get involved in ‘government, leadership and public service’. There was no mention of standing up for conservative values or even the Republican party for that matter, interestingly enough.

Crenshaw then chimed in saying that young people are our future leaders and how great it is to see them come to a ‘political event’. Again, no mention of President Trump’s America first policies, the Republican party, the second amendment or securing the border. If someone who wasn’t involved in politics were to see this video, they may not even know which party these two claim to be a part of.

Yes, if you want to know exactly what political persuasion the ‘event’ leaned toward, you’d have to do some more digging, and that we did. The Texan reports:

At an inaugural youth summit hosted by Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-TX-2) yesterday, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and an array of speakers defended American history and capitalism, and spoke to Houston area students about policy, service, campaigns, and leadership.

“Real leadership is about persuasion, it’s about movement,” said Haley. “It’s about bringing people around to your point of view.”

More than 1,800 enthusiastic high school and college students attended the event at the Hyatt Regency in Houston, where they waited in lengthy lines for Crenshaw campaign t-shirts and photo ops with Crenshaw and Haley, and chanted “USA, USA” in-between speakers.

Other speakers at the summit included former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer, Graham Allen, Allie Stuckey, and baseball legend Roger Clemens.

Most spoke to the students about the importance of resilience, hard work, and living life with purpose.

By the looks of it, and without having participated in the event, one might draw the conclusion that Nimrata Haley and Dan Crenshaw are almost caricatures of the Joel Osteen business model being used in a political setting. According to the report from The Texan, they and other event hosts talked about youth enthusiasm, capitalism, religion, how China is getting one over on us in trade, and getting past political talking points and to define why some ideas may or may not be correct.

Among other things Haley told stories about her past political ambitions in South Carolina and the event was wrapped up with Crenshaw hinting that he wants to make the event an annual one.

Recently Haley was also palling around with John Brennan, former CIA Director and possibly one of the most rabidly anti-Trump people you will find in the political realm today. After criticism for the first tweet below, she issues another tweet in a weak attempt to clarify why she justifies being involved with someone like Brennan, who has been accused by some legal experts of perjury related to the Trump-Russia collusion investigation. In her second tweet, she says, “I can’t control who I sit on a panel with. I can control how I communicate America’s strengths and our path forward. This is what I did.”

Recently, Texas U.S. House Rep. Crenshaw (R) took heat for going against conservatives by pushing for what is tantamount to gun confiscation laws that would potentially apply to law-abiding citizens, while Former South Carolina Governor and U.N. Ambassador Haley was recently found out to be dining with former short-time Trump White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci shortly after ‘The Mooch’ disavowed President Trump. Is there a pattern here? Are they slowly trying to build a resistance coalition of moderates to take power back when President Trump leaves office? Is Nimrata “Nikki” going to run against Donald Trump Jr. for President in 2024? One can only wonder.
