Little known Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson is making headlines after a video of her at a church from 2016 surfaced over the weekend.  In the video, she addresses the congregation, asking the white members to “repeat after me” while they appear to place their hands on the black members and offer a prayer to apologize.

The audience follows along for the prayer but there are times where it seems disjointed and forced.

She released a statement on Twitter Saturday, addressing the situation.

Twitter is likely giving her her only chance to win. She describes herself as an activist, humanitarian and entrepreneur in her bio and she has over 2.7 million followers. Her main claim to fame is being a good friend of Oprah Winfrey.

NBC has an interesting video on YouTube showing some interesting fame she has received lately from the ‘dark web’ for various reasons.
