Democrat Lauren Book Threatened for Pushing Epstein Investigation in Florida

Earlier this week Democrat Florida State Senator Lauren Book asked Governor Ron DeSantis to start an investigation into the circumstances of Jeffery Epstein’s Work release from a plea deal reached in 2008. Epstein was released for 12 hours a day 6 days a week for his 13-month sentence.

This was all part of a plea deal to avoid federal prosecution in the solicitation of a minor. He was also registered as a sex offender under this nonprosecution agreement. The investigation was led by Alex Acosta who was with the U.S. Attorneys office in Miami at the time.  Yesterday, Sheriff’s office of Palm Beach announced an investigation into the matter while the governor mulls it over.

Book stated “I’ve received countless phone calls stating ‘Little girl you don’t know what you’re getting into, ‘and telling me that I should just stop’. This phone call was made the same day that Epstein was found in his cell with sustained injuries.

Lauren Book was a sexual assault victim herself which would shed some light onto why she is so passionate about finding out the truth.
