In a Tweet today, Ilhan Omar advocated that Palestinians “deserve self-determination and statehood, just like their neighbors”. She then categorized Israel as committing the “destruction of their property and indefinite military occupation of their land.”

She was ultimately retweeting an article from the Associated Press that was titled, “Israeli crews demolish Palestinian homes in east Jerusalem.” The article goes on to talk about how the homes are being destroyed because they were built too close to the line separating the West Bank.
