In an outrageous example of bureaucrats within law enforcement overreaching, according to a news release from ICE, criminal illegal aliens are being released regularly from custody without notification. This particular example is from Charlotte, NC.
From Ice.gov:
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested fugitive Oscar Pacheco-Leonardo, 33, a Honduran national, and repeat immigration violator during a targeted enforcement operation in Mecklenburg County August 9, nearly two months after the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office refused to honor an ICE detainer, or even notify ICE of the release, and instead released Mr. Pacheco’s from local criminal custody following his arrest on first-degree rape and indecent liberties with a minor charges.
Back in June, State Senator and 9th District Congressional candidate Dan Bishop (R) called on the sheriff to resign after a Honduran man was released twice on domestic violence.
These events come as no surprise as you can see from a recent expose done on McFadden in the video below from PBS Charlotte that talks about his decision to not check immigration status on criminals.

Marking his first act as Mecklenburg County sheriff in early December, Garry McFadden ended his office’s participation in the controversial 287(g) program — under which the sheriff’s office reported the immigration status of its inmates to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Now, US Senate candidate Sandy Smith has called on the sheriff to resign also after the most recent decisions. From a Facebook post made yesterday: “I call on Sheriff Garry McFadden to resign for directly ignoring Federal Immigration Law.” Today, she shared a picture of a tweet from Charlie Kirk with the words “Not Good” where he listed the number of violations.
Charlie Kirk tweeted:
“Did you know: In North Carolina, in the past 18 months, at least 331 illegal aliens have been charged with 1,172 counts of rape or sexual assault against a child Republicans want to see them deported Democrats want to give them free healthcare and the right to vote.”

Kirk took to Twitter again this morning with a call to action. He tweeted:
