Joe Kennedy III Exemplified DNC Hypocrisy in SOTU Response

As Joe Kennedy III delivered the Democrats’ official response to President Trump’s first State of the Union address last night, one could not help but notice the utter hypocrisy of it all. The heir to the throne of one of America’s most storied political families, stood before a crowd in Fall River Massachusetts, a blue-collar community gutted by left-wing policies, delivering a speech on behalf of a political party that stays relevant by promoting class warfare and racial division. A white male who has never worked or wanted a day in his life, appeared on national television lecturing America’s middle class, as a spokesman for the Democratic Party, the party which so often derides people like him as beneficiaries of ‘white privilege.’ The hypocrisy was so blatant, that even Democrats attacked the party establishment for selecting a Kennedy to deliver their official response.

Throughout his speech, Kennedy stuck to generic Democrat talking points. Making claims of a gloomy America, being destroyed by a booming economy and robust national defense. He made mention of Black Lives Matter and the Me Too movement, painting the at times violent radical left wing as freedom fighters living under a tyrannical regime. He compared illegal aliens to civil rights activists of years past, and directly addressed so-called ‘dreamers’ while speaking in Spanish. ‘You are part of our story,’ he said. ‘We will fight for you, we will not walk away.’ He even went as far as to say that future generations will ‘tear down’ America’s border wall, ‘driving us towards progress,’ and of course, promoted the left’s fledgling conspiracy theory of Russian interference in the 2016 Elections, despite his uncle, Ted Kennedy, being caught red-handed colluding with the Soviet Union in the 1980s.

For career politicians like Joe Kennedy III, a man who was groomed for a political career from the day he was born, the truth doesn’t matter. What does matter, however, are votes; and for Kennedy, votes are won and his career is advanced by pushing disinformation, painting a doom and gloom picture of a country on the mend, and obstructing any and all attempts to return governance of the United States to the American people. For people like the Kennedy’s, the longer Americans are down, the better.

‘Americans are dreamers too.’ – President Donald J. Trump – 1/30/2018
