Shapiro Touts Red Flag Laws, Dana Loesch Smacks him Down on Twitter

Today, conservative icon Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire took to Twitter to issue a lukewarm message of support for “Red Flag” gun control laws to be legislated in light of the recent shootings that have been in the news and controversy with President Trump, along with accusations of ‘white supremacist terrorism‘ being hurled around.

Former NRA Spokeswoman Dana Loesch fired back on Twitter.

Dana tweeted:

“Love you to bits but I disagree on this one”

Shapiro apparently noticed her tweet, and never shy on any controversial debate, offered to discuss with her on his show.

Shapiro:

Back at you! Happy to have you on the show to discuss! Will have my producers reach out.

Dana’s husband Chris jumped in the back and forth as well:

Red Flag Laws, as now written without due process are a bad idea.

And in response to the show invite:

You can come on her show as well.

This watered-down endorsement of “Red Flag” gun controls laws by Ben Shapiro comes days after Texas Rep (R) Dan Crenshaw issued a shameless endorsement for “Red Flag” laws himself that oddly seemed to set off a chain reaction of other Republicans echoing the call, including President Trump.

It’s yet to be seen if all the pushback from angry conservative voters will be enough to make Republicans second guess their support for these laws, that allow for temporary gun confiscation from people who are reported by others to be dangerous.

Meanwhile, we will wait and see if Shapiro or Loesch, go on one of the other’s shows and how that unfolds if it happens.
