Over the weekend, Jim Kaczmarek, Vice Chairman of Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District GOP, launched a vicious attack against conservative activist turned Congressional candidate Mary Jones, in the comment section of her personal Facebook page. Jones, whose grassroots primary campaign against first-term Republican Congressman Scott Taylor has catapulted her into the headlines, has long been a target of the local political establishment, and as her campaign gains momentum while her opponent continues to turn his back on the conservative agenda, Jones finds herself under attack on a near-daily basis.
Using an alternate account portraying himself as a man named Freddy Cruze, Kaczmarek flew into a profanity-laced tirade after Jones posted a Bible verse to her timeline, as she does every Sunday. Spewing personal insults directed towards both Jones and her supporters, Kaczmarek tried to draw comparisons between Jones and Hillary Clinton, ridiculing her for running for office as a woman as he mockingly wrote to one of Jones’ supporters; ‘You sound like a delusional liberal. Actually sounds like the Hillary staff the night before the election. She’s going to break the glass ceiling like Hillary Right? You’re awfully sure of yourself shitstain.’ After being called out for his comments, Kaczmarek fell back on revealing his true identity, bragging that Freddy Cruze is just one of his many alternate accounts (he claims to have 8). ‘Mary Jones this is Jim Kaczmarek the second district Vice Chairman on the eastern shore…Your followers have serious issues and I will not be talked to like that by them.’
After revealing his identity, instead of taking a more professional tone in an attempt to save face, his tirade turned towards threats of physical violence. ‘Some of her [Jones] supporters are too stupid to see that I’m trying to give her constructive criticism to help her and instead they viciously attack me and I’m not going to stand for it,’ said Kaczmarek. ‘I can’t legally step on her throat but I can pull any support because I do not want to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them people.’ Kaczmarek went as far as to post a picture of himself as if to provide proof that it was truly he who was threatening to ‘step on’ a candidate’s throat.
Shortly following his violent tirade, Kaczmarek began back peddling, editing his comments in a quick attempt to cover his tracks, before deleting his part in the exchange altogether. Although before doing so, he declared his support for Congressman Taylor, who ironically, has also been exposed for making violent threats against his political foes. ‘I am now all in for Scott Taylor because I won’t be talked to by cucks,’ he said.
