Trump-Backed Corey Lewandowski Signals Senate Announcement Soon in New Hampshire

Yesterday former Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski teased a possible announcement. He has been tossing around the idea of running for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire.

Lewandowski, although he left his job as campaign manager and was replaced with Paul Manafort, has stayed loyal to the President, unlike former communications director Anthony Scaramucci. It appears as though those dividends of loyalty might just pay off. President Trump announced at a recent rally in New Hampshire that if he runs, Lewandowski will have the full support of President Trump in his U.S. Senate bid. It doesn’t get much better than that.

USA Today reported:

Trump has also taken time in recent days to tout an ex-campaign aide who is now considering a run for Senate in New Hampshire. Corey Lewandowski, the first manager of Trump’s renegade 2016 presidential campaign, got a shout-out from stage.

Trump did not invite Lewandowski on stage as he has with others in the past.

“Corey Lewandowski loves your state, loves New Hampshire. I’m hearing he’s thinking about running for Senate from New Hampshire – I don’t know,” Trump said. “I think it’d be tough to beat. He’s going to do a job if he does do it. He would be fantastic.”

USA today mentions how President Trump didn’t invite him on the stage at the rally though, but that could very well just be because the president wasn’t there to ‘stump for Corey’, in addition to the fact that he hasn’t made the official U.S. Senate bid announcement yet.

Yesterday Corey Lewandowski tweeted out:

“The people of N.H. need a strong voice in the US Senate. @JeanneShaheen votes with @AOC more than with our great residents. Time to remind people of N.H. you’re not supposed to get rich while serving in public office. My announcement is coming soon! #Senate2020″

Lewandowski has stayed very active since leaving the Trump campaign in 2016 and has even gone on channels like CNN, where they tried to get him to speak negatively about Donald Trump. He didn’t fall for their tricks and stuck to what he believes in.
