How this estimate works. For each county, ballots cast so far (early in person, mail and Election Day posted) are split using that county’s two-party share in the 2024 race for president, then added up statewide. The same is done with the 2022 race for governor as a cross-check. Within any county, voters do not all match the county’s past result, so this is a rough guide to which kinds of counties ballots are coming from, not a party count.
