Conservative Group Blasts Catholic Bishop Causing Him to Apologize to Fellow Believers

A conservative organization called the Conservative Response Team ran an ad on Cincinnati radio (which includes Covington) and social media last week:

Here is a transcript: 

“The Covington Boys. Slandered and vilified by the fake news media and a leftist Twitter lynch mob.

“Enter Covington Diocese Bishop Roger Foys. Instead of defending the Covington Boys, Foys joined the lynch mob and gave them more rope.

“Then the facts came out. Nathan Phillips was not only the aggressor, but a professional leftist agitator who lied about serving in Vietnam and everything that happened. 

“Truth: the Covington Boys are honorable young men who followed Dr. King’s non-violence principles to resist a bully. But Bishop Foys not only won’t apologize for stringing up these young men, he still wants to put them on trial. 

“Call Bishop Foys: 859-392-1500. Tell Foys to apologize to the Covington Boys, and apologize to his parishioners: 859-392-1500.

“Stop the hate! Stop the lynch mobs! Paid for by Conservative Response Team.”

After a barage of attacks like this one, the Bishop finally apologized.
