As reported by Breitbart news today, Democrat Congressman and
House Oversight Committee Chairman from Maryland’s 7th district has suffered a burglary at his Baltimore home. This comes on the heels of much back in forth in the news about the state of Baltimore’s poverty and crime rates spurred by tweets from President Trump. According to Fox News, the burglary was a few hours before the initial Trump tweet.

The tweets by President Trump were in response to criticism from Cummings about conditions at the holding facilities for illegal immigrants and asylum seekers at the southern U.S.-Mexico border.

After recent tapes resurfaced of Cummings saying similar things to that of what Trump tweeted about the major city in Elijah’s congressional district, although it is an awful thing to happen to anyone, one can’t help but notice the irony of the situation. It’s always sad for anyone to be a victim of a burglary and we hope that everyone is safe. It would be nice however if everyone would start concerning themselves with the real issues our nation faces instead of faux twitter outrage.
