In response to an attack by Democrat Elijah Cummings, who represents Baltimore, Maryland in Congress, President Trump highlighted the ‘disgusting, rat and rodent-infested mess’ that has become of the city under Cummings’ and his party’s watch. ‘If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous and filthy place’, the president said of America’s most violent city.
President Trump believes Elijah Cummings is a hypocrite because he comments about the poor living conditions of undocumented immigrants being detained at the border. Apparently suffering from a total lack of self-awareness, the Baltimore City Council held a press conference yesterday to ‘denounce’ the President’s tweets, and of course, demand more funding from the federal government.
Baltimore Mayor Bernard Young ran the event with a few other speakers. While most of the media lapped it up (moving a CNN anchor to crocodile tears), a ticked off constituent in the audience wasn’t having it, and he made sure Baltimore’s ‘public servants’ heard him loud and clear.
The best we could make out, some things he said were, ‘homeless, unemployed, and you don’t want me to eat food!’, ‘I better get a home!’ the man screamed as the Mayor and City Council were whisked away from the podium. ‘I need somewhere with running water, heat, and electricity! And a fridge I can put some food in!’ he continued. Of course, the Democrat-Media complex has ignored the man’s shouts, turning their backs yet again on the poor they claim to stand behind each election cycle.

The man in the crowd is far from alone in his struggle. Having been governed exclusively by Democrats for over half a century, Baltimore has gone from being an industrial powerhouse to an economic disaster zone. A quarter of the city’s population lives below the federal poverty level of $25,570 per year for a family of four. This includes a third of the city’s children.
What’s more, is that half of the city’s poor population lives in ‘deep poverty’, meaning they live on less than 50% of federal poverty line income levels. President Trump is right. Baltimore is a disaster. And as long as Democrats continue to ignore the man in the crowd, and the rest of Baltimore’s poor, in favor of political grandstanding and self-serving big government, it will stay that way.
