Former Canadian PM Issues Watered Down Apology over Mar-a-Lago Hurricane Tweet

Earlier today Breitbart reported on a tweet that former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell put out on the 28th, wishing that President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago suffers a direct hit from the impending and ‘extremely dangerous’ Hurricane Dorian, headed straight for Florida.

What’s left of the tweet from the former Hillary Clinton presidential campaign supporter can be seen below in two images. One from what’s left of the tweet embed in the Breitbart article, and the other, a screenshot of what appears when you click on the dead link. Now Campbell has taken to Twitter and admits she deleted the tweet, in a very lukewarm apology basically stating that it was just sarcasm.

Today Kim Campbell tweeted:

“I have deleted my tweet about the hurricane & Mar a Lago and sincerely apologize to all it offended. It was intended as sarcasm-not a serious wish of harm. Throwaway lines get a life of their own on Twitter. I shd know better. Mea culpa.”
