‘Mayor Pete’ Accuser Alleges Sexual Assault During Buttigieg’s Marriage *Update-debunked*

BREAKING UPDATE: This story has been debunked as a fake news setup according to Big League Politics here.

Earlier this morning, Big League Politics reported on a story that presidential candidate ‘Mayor Pete’ Buttigieg was accused of sexual assault. Not long after, Info Wars came out with a similar story. The information is based on a blog post written by a 21-year-old man named Hunter Kelly. The entire post can be seen below:

“My name is Hunter Kelly. I am 21 years old. This is by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. For the past three nights, I have not slept even a single hour. I have vomited eight times.

I was sexually assaulted by Mayor Pete Buttigieg. I didn’t know who he was back in February, only that he told me he was an important politician. When I started seeing him on television three weeks ago as a Presidential candidate, I thought about coming forward.

I am a gay man. I have been grappling with my identity for a number of years. I live, work, and attend college in rural Michigan. I know that by coming forward, I will make a hard life even harder. But I must do so — I must do so — for my country, for other gay men like me, and most importantly to stop a very bad man from becoming President of the United States.

I must confess that this is the toughest thing I have ever had to do. For two weeks now, I have been contemplating suicide. I see myself jumping from a building or a bridge. I know that years and years of counseling may lie in front of me.

In the days and weeks ahead, I will share my full story with the nation.

This story is breaking and will need more verification to manifest itself as a credible accusation, much less a potential criminal charge. But while we wait for the facts to come out, let’s focus on some of the wording in the accusation. In the line shown above where accuser Hunter Kelly states: “I didn’t know who he was back in February, only that he told me he was an important politician.”, it is unclear for sure if he is stating that February of 2019 is when the alleged assault took place.

Well, if these allegations are true they will prove to be problematic in more than one way. For starters, sexual assault is something that can stop a political career dead in its tracks, ESPECIALLY a career on the fast track to a potential Democrat presidential nomination! It can lead to criminal charges, lawsuits, and years of other potential consequences. These things are fairly well known though. But another big question to ask is did this happen during the time ‘Mayor Pete’ was involved romantically with his now-husband since June 16, 2018? Well if you take the words of the accuser “back in February”, while unclear, it seems that is the implication of when the alleged abuse occurred. This means that not only was Peter Buttigieg in a relationship to his now-husband Chasten Glezman but that he was married as well. They have been together since 2015.

Unless discredited, this allegation simply serves to further complicate the ever crumbling narrative. That being the implication that the homosexual ‘Mayor Pete’ is clean as a whistle, and the ideal moderate candidate for many anti-Trump ‘moderate’ Democrats to latch onto. This is in addition to the destruction of the story that he is indeed, even a moderate, much less the myth that he is any good at running even a small Government such as the town of South Bend, IN.

Tweets such as the ones below will certainly fall into the “that didn’t age well” category, especially considering the unprovoked attacks Buttigieg has levied on President Trump’s Vice President, Mike Pence, for his religious stance on gay marriage, even though Vice President Pence has never insulted ‘Mayor Pete’ and has thus far left his personal stance on homosexuality out of his vice presidency.

In this country, we have a right to due process and American citizens are presumed innocent in a court of law until proven guilty. Pete Buttigieg certainly has these rights just like any other. But in the world of politics and the court of public opinion, speculation can run rampant and accusations and credibility are at stake, just as reliably as we have death and taxes to pay. The world will await further information relating to the last sentence in the accuser’s post “In the days and weeks ahead, I will share my full story with the nation”. Could this be a false alarm, a disgruntled former acquaintance or co-worker, or a credible accusation that will reshape the scene of the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination process? Time will tell.
