Michael Moore Chomps Down on Mueller as Democrats Mourn Failed Coup Attempt

Following a two year investigation and daily hysterics from the Democrat-Media Complex, the Mueller hearings were a dud. (See more here) Far removed from the ‘Big Bad Wolf’ image Democrats had painted of him, Special Counsel Robert Mueller looked meek. Or as Michael Moore put it, ‘frail’.

In a Wednesday morning tweet, the left-wing filmmaker called out Mueller for being ‘unable to remember basic things’ and ‘refusing to answer basic questions’, saying Mueller confirmed his 2017 suspicions of incompetence. Moore also slammed ‘pundits and moderates and lame Dems’, telling them to ‘just STFU’. The tweet provided perfect trolling material for the president, who retweeted Moore’s attacks on Mueller and the Democrats. ‘Even Michael Moore agrees that the Dems and Mueller blew it!’ he wrote.

Moore wasn’t alone in his disappointment with Mueller’s performance. Former Obama Senior Advisor David Axelrod criticized Mueller’s testimony, also via Twitter, calling it ‘very, very painful’. In the press, the left’s reaction wasn’t much different as a Thursday morning New York Times headline read, ‘The Blockbuster That Wasn’t: Mueller Disappoints the Democrats’, mourning the lack of a ‘made-for-tv moment’. Over at MSNBC, well-known Democrat water carrier Chuck Todd lamented ‘on optics, this was a disaster.’

Perhaps the New York Post put it best, summing up the event as ‘a waste of everyone’s time’, ripping House Democrats for their false hopes of jump-starting impeachment proceedings through Mueller’s testimony. ‘So: What did we learn from the hearings?’, the Post’s editorial staff asked. ‘Nothing.’ ‘What’s the impact? Nothing.’
