Scott Taylor Supporter & Party Leader Resigns in Wake of Vulgar Facebook Attacks

Jim Kacz

Jim Kaczmarek, the now former Vice Chairman of Virginia’s 2nd District GOP, resigned Thursday, following a string of vulgar and threatening Facebook attacks on Congressional candidate Mary Jones and her supporters. Kaczmarek, who also resigned from his position in Accomack County’s local Republican Party, could not be reached for comment.

Last month, then Vice Chairman Kaczmarek launched a vicious attack against Mary Jones, a conservative activist turned 2nd District Congressional candidate, in the comments section of her personal Facebook page. Jones, who is challenging Scott Taylor for the Republican Party’s nomination to Congress, took to Facebook to post a Bible verse, as she does every Sunday, and communicate with supporters on a personal level. Although interactions were positive, this proved too much for Kaczmarek to handle, and under the alias of ‘Freddy Cruze,’ he launched into a tirade that included threats of physical violence, profanities directed at voters, and after revealing his true identity, an outright declaration of his support for Congressman Scott Taylor’s campaign.

Following Kaczmarek’s attacks, Politics Elections published a story on the matter, which was well circulated in Virginia’s 2nd District, and quickly made its way back to members of the 2nd District GOP. Kaczmarek wasn’t too happy about it, as evidenced by the Facebook message he sent the author.

In addition to his use of an alternate account to direct attacks towards Mary Jones, Kaczmarek used his personal Facebook page to attack her, describing the candidate using lewd, sexual terminology, and claiming that he would encourage Democrat voters to swing the Republican Primary in Taylor’s favor. While leaving a ‘1 star’ review on a Facebook page claiming to expose Congressman Taylor’s left-wing leanings, Kaczmarek wrote: ‘This is the crap that is making me go to the Democrat units with all the hate that Twat Mary is spreading to show Democrats they need to vote in our primary…Mary must be stopped even if I need to get Dems to do it!’

Kaczmarek continued his profanity-laced attack in the comments section, accusing voters of attacking Navy Seals by not supporting Congressman Taylor. ‘this shit is fucking disgusting! Mary Jones can NOT win against Scott Taylor! These scumbags need to be shut down even if I got to go kiss Liberal ass at our Democrat local units! I take this crap as an attack on Seals in general!’ he wrote.

Via Facebook, at least one of Kaczmarek’s alternate accounts has been directly linked to Congressman Taylor. Under the alias of ‘Bonnie Zcak,’ Kaczmarek posted an image of a Mary Jones campaign sign, to which Taylor responded, engaging in a brief conversation with the alternate account.

It is of no surprise that Taylor had knowledge of Kaczmarek’s alternate accounts, as evidenced by emails exchanged between Politics Elections and the Taylor campaign, in which team Taylor directly quoted the previous article written on Kaczmarek.

In addition to his attacks on Jones, Kaczmarek joined fellow members of the GOP establishment in attacking Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chairman and United States Senate candidate Corey Stewart, as an active member of the Facebook group ‘Virginians Against Corey Stewart,’ which describes Virginia as a ‘racist state,’ and levies several attacks against Chairman Stewart for his support of Virginia’s historical monuments.

Just before his resignation, using the alias ‘Freddy Cruze,’ Kaczmarek contacted Politics Elections yet again, attacking two 2nd District constituents, referring to a female in vulgar sexual terms. Kaczmarek also claimed reports on his Facebook attacks will be ‘the reasons Corey [Stewart] and MJ [Mary Jones] loses this primary,’ after calling the author a ‘little piece of shit.’

Following his resignation, Kaczmarek took to Facebook on yet another alternate account, this time named ‘David Pawlowski,’ blaming a number of constituents for his actions, and detailing his plans to support Nick Freitas in his campaign against Corey Stewart for Senate, claiming that Congressman Taylor is no longer in need of help, and will have ‘no issue beating soccer mom!’

The vulgar, anti-woman hatred exhibited by Kaczmarek on a number of occasions has left voters in the 2nd District, and all corners of the Commonwealth disgusted, and his resignation came as no surprise following weeks of public calls for his dismissal. The voters have drawn a clear line in the sand. Virginia’s Republicans will not support threats of violence, vulgar gender-based attacks, or voter intimidation from anyone, including members of the party establishment.

Despite knowledge of Kaczmarek’s remarks and direct interaction with at least one of his alternate accounts, Congressman Scott Taylor and his campaign have yet to comment on their relationship with Kaczmarek, or his attacks on Mary Jones and her supporters.
