FL House Rep Sabatini: No ‘Red Flag’ Laws, Govt. Can Pry Guns From my ‘Cold Dead Hands’

Since recent tragic shootings and others not so recent, not only Democrats, but many Republicans have jumped on the gun control bandwagon, caving to pressure from their left-wing counterparts in elected office.

Many Republicans like Anthony Sabatini, fellow House Rep Mike Hill, and state Attorney General Ashley Moody have actually been on the offensive about the second amendment and protecting what it means for gun enthusiasts and gun rights supporters.

That’s not the case for all vocal Florida Republicans though. U.S. Senator Rick Scott and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio have pledged support for ‘Red Flag’ laws. This comes in the wake of Texas Congressman (R) Dan Crenshaw and even President Trump getting major backlash after hinting that they may support the laws themselves.

Sabatini, never shy with words, took to his Twitter pedestal to make sure he was loud and clear to other Republicans who may be curious as to where he stands on the hot button issue.

He tweeted:

I was asked if I support risk protection orders, also know as “red flag laws.” The type I support look like this: the government should be allowed to confiscate my firearm after they pry it from my cold dead hands.
