Conservative Response Team “Save Texas History” TV Ad Campaign Expands

The campaign for the Texas “Historical Protection Act” is heating up. The Conservative Response Team continues to hammer the message home to the Governor, Greg Abbott, the Lieutenant Governor, Dan Patrick, and the Republican State House Speaker Dennis Bonnen. If the poll showing that most Texans are not in favor of the monument removal being undertaken by the radical left, the hope is that the extended ad campaign and pressure from constituents will.

The message is clear: our nation’s history, good, bad, and everything in between is a part of what makes us who we are today. History will show the few who stand up for their beliefs are the ones with the power to change the course of important events like this.

Will the elected officials fight alongside the citizens and activists seeking to preserve history, or will they sit idly by? Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick was pressed hard on the hot-button issue on March 8th at a Tarrant County Tea Party meeting, and he says he “is aware of what’s going on and will look into it”. At this rate, it appears it’s going to take a lot more pressure from the constituents to get him fired up about this issue.

“Save Texas History” TV Ad Campaign Expands Today
Conservative Response Team Puts the Heat on GOP Lawmakers

Dallas, Texas – The Conservative Response Team’s latest TV ad campaign, demanding swift passage of the Historical Protection Act, expanded into more Texas markets today. In addition to Dallas, Houston, Waco and Austin, the campaign now includes Amarillo, Abilene-San Angelo, Lubbock, Midland-Odessa and Wichita Falls.

“They need to act now,” the ads say. “A law to stop leftist cities from destroying monuments, renaming schools and airbrushing our past is stuck in committee and requires action this week.”

Two versions of the TV ad will be running on the Fox News Channel through next week. One version focuses on House Speaker Dennis Bonnen; another tells viewers to call Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.

In addition to the TV ad campaign, tens of thousands of robocalls are going out statewide, urging voters to call Representative John Cyrier and Senator Brian Birdwell, both committee chairmen, demanding swift movement on the bill.
