66% of Dallas Voters Don’t Want Pioneer Park Monument Moved

While lawyers and government bureaucrats battle out in a lawsuit whether or not a monument should be removed from Pioneer Park, yet another poll has been taken to determine what the majority of Dallas Texas residents actually think.

Four months ago a Gravis survey that was touted by Christopher Ekstrom’s “Conservative Response Team” took a similar poll. The results showed that 57% of poll takers wanted the monuments to stay. This new poll, according to klif.com, shows an even higher number, 66% don’t want historical monuments removed.

With irate constituents, massive TV ad campaigns, and no proof that removal of historical monuments will make any American’s lives better, it’s an utter disgrace that the leftist activists are so relentless at trying to whitewash history.

You can see the latest poll in the image below from klif.com, which also included the following in their article:

According to the poll, which surveyed voters by automated phone call, 66% are against the statue coming down, and 50% believe the removal should be delayed for more public feedback.

Meanwhile, the monument remains covered in tarp at Pioneer Park.

The fate of the statue is in the hands of a Judge, not Dallas voters, but Johnson said it was important to poll the desire of the public.

‘Return to Lee Park’, an organization run by Warren Johnson did the poll.

Back in May of this year, a famous Robert E. Lee monument in Charlottesville, Virginia that radical Democrats like former Vice Mayor Wes Bellamy and current Mayor Nikuyah Walker had been lobbying for removal for years, was finally the subject of good news for those who support it. A judge ruled that state law protected it as a war memorial and the city of Charlottesville had no right to defile it. A group called ‘The Virginia Flaggers’ played a large role in this as they are constantly lobbying in Virginia and around the country for the preservation of Confederate historical monuments.

Texans who support preserving history would love nothing more than a similar ruling to protect what’s left of their history after some monuments, such as a Robert E. Lee statue there, have already been moved.

The Historical Protection Act, designed for this purpose, failed in a recent legislative session, unfortunately.
